Welcome

I am a poet and a visual artist.

I like to write with Precise V5 Rolling Ball Extra Fine pens and standard 8 ½ X 11 notebook paper, my Brother electronic typewriter, and my MacBook. I have crafted my visual work from: 4B pencils, watercolor pencils, ink, cotton rag and abaca handmade paper, embroidery floss, Xyline transfer, fabrics including tulle and lace, and various found objects.

Themes within my art include—my family’s history and stories, mentor artists and poets, the importance of pollinators, predators, and nature overall, the relationship between the physical and the spiritual, and stereotypes of domesticity.

I love imagery, myth, and metaphor. Poetry and Art are my children, my reason for being.
